We love finding super cool ‘off the beaten track’ vintage watches and this vintage Longines pilot’s watch is a classic. And it’s big…really big!

This is a very interesting Longines chronograph that dates to 1950/51 that was envisaged as a pilot’s watch, as demonstrated by the bold Arabic hours and large onion winding crown. The steel case measures a huge 47.5mm and has a single chronograph pusher.

The black dial has luminous arabic numerals, an inner rotating bezel calibrated to 60 minutes and two “running seconds” hands - one for counting seconds and the other one is actually a minute counter.
The watch will be accompanied by an extract of archives stating a sale to Knyath, the Longines agent for Israel, in March 1951. The watch will come on the pictured Bulang and Sons Single Pass strap and the movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

We’re pretty sure this cool chrono will fly…get in touch!
